Getting to know your new watch:

Your watch is actually two separate watches located in one case: a
fully featured talking watch with alarm feature, and a conventional
quartz watch with clear black hands on a white face. Because the
watches are not linked, each watch needs to be set separately.
Around the case of the watch are 5 controls: a familiar setting wheel
for the quartz watch and 4 buttons around the edge of the case. The
setting wheel for the hands of the quartz watch is at the familiar 3
o'clock position; this is known as the crown.
The controls for the talking watch consist of 4 small push buttons at
the 2, 4, 8 and 10 o'clock positions around the edge of the case.
You use the button at 2 o'clock whenever you want a voice report of
the current time.
The watch uses two batteries, one for the analogue functions and
another for the talking watch; both should be replaced periodically.

Setting the current time and alarm:

1. Setting the watch's hands:
Have the watch facing you with the crown at 3 o'clock on the right
hand side. You may find your watch is shipped with a small plastic lock
between the crown and the case, which prevents the battery running
down while the watch is in storage. If there is such a guard on your
watch, grip and remove it now. You may have to pull the crown wheel
out as far as it will go, 1mm or so, to release the lock, and then push
it back into the case.
Pull out the crown about 1mm; you can now turn the crown to adjust
the hands, just like any other watch.
