INTRODUCTION The RAK30 HW & R provides a mounted, portable water and pre-packed ration heating facility for the crew of vehicles which have a 28Volts DC (nominal) electrical system. Operation of the RAK30 is possible while stationary or mobile provided an operational voltage is maintained. The unit has a one shot boil capacity.

7.2. One Shot Boil: To boil the maximum volume of water, ensure the Control Panel Toggle Switch is in the OFF position. Remove the Inner Container and stow in a safe place. Fill the HW & R with potable water up to the Upper Level Line (3 Litres – maximum for boiling).

Remove the Inner Container and fill the HW & R with potable water up to the LOWER LEVEL LINE (1.18 litres) maximum. Place the pre-packaged food pouches into the Inner Container and add sufficient potable water to cover.

9.3. Fault code conditions. Fault Condition: If during HW & R operation, a RED Lamp is illuminated on the control panel, then a fault condition as indicated in the Table below has occurred and the appropriate remedial action will be necessary.
