  • Page 17: Service Procedures

3.4 Service Procedures It is essential that the generator is isolated from the mains power supply and fully depressurised before carrying out any servicing procedures. Stopping the equipment Close the ball valve on the N2 Outlet port. Press [ ] to initiate the shutting down sequence. The generator will complete the current cycle and then exhaust both beds.
  • Page 18: Exhaust Silencer Replacement

Ensure that the generator is isolated from the mains power supply and fully depressurised before carrying out any of the following service procedures. 3.4.1 Exhaust Silencer Replacement The exhaust silencer is located under the inlet manifold assembly. Unscrew the silencer assembly from the exhaust flange plate and remove.
  • Page 19: Outlet Flow Valve Replacement

3.4.4 Outlet Flow valve replacement The outlet flow valves are mounted on the outlet flow assembly. Disconnect the solenoid plugs on both valves making a note of which plug belongs to which valve. Unscrew the 8 off M5 socket head cap screws that hold the valves in place and remove.
  • Page 20: Inlet Valve Replacement

3.4.6 Inlet Valve Replacement The inlet plate assembly is located above the lower manifold as shown. Disconnect the inlet pipe-work, including the ball valve, from the port marked “Compressed Air Inlet”. Ensure that the pipe-work remains adequately supported whilst disconnected from the generator.

3.4.7 Outlet Valve Replacement The outlet plate assembly is located below the upper manifold as shown. Disconnect the inlet pipe-work, including the ball valve, from the port marked “Compressed Air Inlet”. Ensure that the pipe-work remains adequately supported whilst disconnected from the generator.
  • Page 22: Equalisation Valve Replacement

3.4.8 Equalisation Valve Replacement There are two equalisation assemblies. The upper equalisation assembly is connected to the outlet manifold assembly whilst the lower equalisation assembly is connected to the inlet manifold assembly as shown. The procedure for replacing the cylinders is the same for both the upper and lower assemblies.
  • Page 23: Exhaust Valve Replacement

3.4.9 Exhaust Valve Replacement The Exhaust valve assembly is located below the inlet manifold as shown. Unscrew the exhaust silencer assembly from the exhaust flange plate and remove. Remove the pneumatic tubing from the cylinders. Whilst supporting the exhaust valve assembly, remove the 8 off M10 Hex HD bolts that hold the assembly onto the manifold.
  • Page 24: Oxygen Analyser Calibration

3.5 Oxygen Analyser Calibration The frequency of calibration is dependent on how critical the quality of gas is to the end process and on the customer’s own internal procedures. However, it is recommended that the analyser be calibrated at least every 3 months. The calibration method will depend on whether the generator is a % or ppm generator and if calibration is to be carried out against a calibration gas supply or against an independent analyser.

E1 – Calibrate sensor Connect a known concentration of gas, at a flow rate of between 500 and 1000cc/min, to the port marked Allow time for the sensor to respond. Using the [ ] and [ ] keys set the reading to that of the calibration gas level. Press [ ] to span the sensor.
  • Page 27: E5 - Sensor Simulation

E5 – Sensor simulation This option allows the user to simulate the sensor output in order to test the functionality of the analyser. The analogue output will reflect the gas level and the relays will be activated when the alarm levels are reached. Use the [ ] and [ ] keys to display the desired gas level.
