Product Description
The DFM-1616 Field Module provides additional I/O (16
universal inputs and 16 universal outputs) to Delta's DSC-
1616E or ASM-24E BACnet Controllers. It communicates on
Delta's LINKnet network.
The DSC-1616E when combined with two DFM-1616 Field
Modules forms a high-density I/O Controller intended to fit a
range of Central Plant-type applications requiring up to 48
Inputs and 48 Outputs. When the DFM-1616 is combined with
the ASM-24E it forms a controller suited for Elevator Control
applications.
Important Information
The DFM-1616 works only with the DSC-1616E and ASM-24E (firmware V3.33 R1 or later).

Delta Controls Controller Configuration Controller Addressing The DIP Switch is a binary switch. Each individual DIP switch represents a unique value, which forms the controller address when added together. To set the address, simply move the switches that add up to the controllers desired address to the ON position.

Document Edition 2.4 Wiring General All wiring must conform to NEC and local codes and regulations. Use earth ground isolating step-down Class 2 transformers. Do not use autotransformers. Determine supply transformer rating by summing total VA of product and output loads. Risk of Electric Shock or Fire More than one disconnect switch may be required to de-energize the equipment before servicing.

This functionality allows critical equipment (boiler/chiller pumps) to remain operational so that undesired results will not occur. For example, if a boiler is being controlled through the DFM-1616 set the default value for the boiler pumps in the output object to ON. If communication is lost, the boiler pumps will continue to run.
