SAFETY GUIDANCE & OPERATION:
All verbal and written instructions supplied regarding this heaters use must be observed at all times.
General Safety
● The heater must only be operated by a competent person who has read these instructions.
● Inspect the heater before use. If there is any sign of damage, do not use and contact Didcot Plant.
● Keep children and animals away from the heater at all times.
● Make sure the equipment is switched off and unplugged after use.
● Allow heater and flue to cool down before moving.
Electrical Safety
● The heater will be supplied to match your electrical supply voltage.
● For standard domestic supply the RCD supplied must be plugged in to the 230v socket.
● For industrial supply (110v) the Transformer must be plugged into the 230v socket.
● Only use the extension lead/s provided (Yellow/Blue round plug) and that they are fully uncoiled.
● Read the instructions with the RCD or Transformer on how to use.
● Do not use if any damage found.
● Ensure all electrical cables and connections are dry and safe and do not present any hazards.
Getting Started and Operation
● Position the heater on firm level ground and away from any flammable materials or substances.
● Ensure the area around the heater has a minimum of 1 metre clearance from all obstacles.
● Position the flue exhaust pipe on to the spigot. Beware - this will be hot during and after use.
● Fit ducting and secure to outlet and position accordingly to area to be heated.
● Connect thermostat unit if required and also feed into area, set and adjust dial as required.
● Connect and switch on the electrical supply to the heater and switch control button to On ('I').
● Do not move heater while in use.
● Please note: The heater is supplied with a full tank of diesel fuel. (See spec for capacities etc.).
● If the heater is allowed to run out of fuel it will turn off and the reset warning will light up.
● Refuel with clean diesel only and press the reset button and resume normal operation.
● When finished with switch the heater Off ('O').
● The heater will continue to run for a short time to cool before shutting down.
● Do not disconnect electrical supply without turning heater off first.
● If the supply is switched off during use the heater will need resetting as described above.
● Contact Didcot Plant on 01235 814000 if any additional problems occur or for further advice.
