GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure that Dash and the remote control are turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery covers on the top of Dash (see next page for details) and on the back of the remote control. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws.

REMOVING THE BATTERY COVER FROM DASH 1. In vehicle mode, lift up Dash’s tail. 2. Loosen the screw as illustrated. 3. Lift up the blue rear wing section to expose the battery box. 4. Install 6 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box.
BATTERY NOTICE • Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride) rechargeable batteries for best performance. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended. • Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable, or new and used batteries. • Do not use damaged batteries. • Insert batteries with the correct polarity. • Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. • Do not dispose of batteries in fire. • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if removable).
PRODUCT FEATURES 1. TURNING DASH THE T-REX ON Slide the REMOTE CONTROL OFF/CHANNEL SWITCH to the I or II position to turn the REMOTE CONTROL ON. Slide the OFF/CHANNEL SWITCH on Dash the T-Rex to the same position (I or II) as the REMOTE CONTROL.
4. FORWARD/REVERSE BUTTON By pressing the FORWARD/REVERSE BUTTON on the REMOTE CONTROL up or down, Dash the T-Rex will move forwards or backwards. NOTE: If Dash the T-Rex is not moving straight, use the ALIGNMENT DIAL to adjust the front wheel alignment. 5.
8. TALK BUTTON Press the TALK BUTTON on the REMOTE CONTROL or on Dash the T-Rex to hear Dash the T-Rex speak cool phrases and teach dinosaur facts. 9. SOUND EFFECT BUTTON Press the SOUND EFFECT BUTTON on the REMOTE CONTROL or on Dash the T-Rex to hear cool sound effects.
12. TURNING DASH THE T-REX OFF / AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF Slide the OFF/CHANNEL SWITCH on the REMOTE CONTROL to the middle position to turn it OFF. Slide the OFF/CHANNEL SWITCH on Dash the T-Rex to the middle position to turn Dash OFF. To preserve battery life, Dash the T-Rex will automatically shut off after several minutes without input.
TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason Dash the T-Rex or the remote control stop working or malfunction, please follow these steps: 1. Please turn Dash the T-Rex and the remote control OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let Dash the T-Rex and the remote control stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
