While water is boiling, or just after the water has finished boiling, avoid contact with steam from the spout. To disconnect, turn control to OFF, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.

NOTES ON THE PLUG (2 PRONG) This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Connect to a properly grounded outlet only.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME 1. Remove all parts included in the box. 2. If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you first clean your kettle by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
