While reading a message, press
following options:
Reply: allows you to send a reply message to the
sender.
Forward: allows you to the selected message to
other persons.
Delete: deletes the selected message.
Save Number: allows you to save the phone
number of the sender. For further information about
saving a number, see page 26.
Lock/Unlock: the Lock option allows you to keep
the message from being deleted. locked messages
are marked with "P" in the list. They will not be
erased until you unlock by using the Unlock option.

Setting the Message Display
Using the Display Setup menu option (MENU 3-2-1-
3), you can set the phone to display the contents of a
new text message when it comes in.
The following options are available:
On: the phone displays the full contents of the
message.
Off: the phone displays the New Message icon (
only.
Outbox
Using this menu option, you can transmit text
messages to multiple destinations.
Creating a New Message
To create and send a text message:
1. On the Outbox screen, press
Message is highlighted.
2. Enter a message and press
information about entering characters, see page 27.
Note: If a call comes in while you are creating a
message, the text you already entered is
automatically saved in the Reserved Message
(MENU 3-2-2-4)
