LR-20 SERIES BACKPACK ELECTROFISHER BATTERY INSTALLATION BATTERY INSTALLATION AND SAFETY BATTERY INSTALLATION To ensure operator and unit safety, as well as the life of the battery, care must be taken to make sure that the battery is installed correctly. The easiest way to install the battery is to place the electrofisher on the ground (or similar safe, dry surface), rather than on the operator's back.

The straps and belt all have quick release latches that allow the Electrofisher to be removed quickly if the operator falls into deep water or becomes injured*. Both the LR-24 and LR-20 have an integral quick release pack frame. Just press the latch tabs on the waist belt and shoulder straps and the entire LR-24 falls away.
