Have five similar fans . Two do not speed up

In home recently purchased, we have four Hunter model 53240s with speed controlled by three position wall switches. When all set at the same setting, the fans go at different speeds. There are no pull chains coming out of the speed control switch of the cover over the wiring at base of fans. If I replaced the speed switches, could I use the pull chain to set all at a common speed, then use the wall switches to control from there? Would that get the fans to all turn at the same speed?

To change the speed control on a Hunter 53240 fan, use the pull chain. Pulling the chain cycles through the available speed settings.
