AIRBORNE COLOR WEATHER RADAR

WARNING: Begin transmitting only when it is safe to do so. If it is desired to
transmit while the aircraft is on the ground, no personnel or objects should
be within 11 feet of the antenna.
CAUTION: In Standby Mode, the antenna is parked at the center line. It
is always a good idea to put the radar in Standby Mode before taxiing the
aircraft to prevent the antenna from bouncing on the bottom stop and possibly
causing damage to the radar assembly.
Displaying Weather on the Weather Radar Page
1) Turn the large FMS Knob to select the Map Page Group.
2) Turn the small FMS Knob to select the Weather Radar Page.
3) Select the MODE Softkey.
4) If the aircraft is on the ground, select the STANDBY Softkey to initiate the
one minute warm-up period. After the warm-up is complete, the radar will
enter the Standby Mode. After the aircraft is airborne, select the WEATHER
Softkey.
