Hiding the navigation bar
Hide the navigation bar to expand the available area of the screen to view content or use
apps in a larger view.
Launch the Settings app, tap Display → Navigation bar, and then select Full screen
gestures under NAVIGATION TYPE. The navigation bar is replaced with the flat indicators for
the hidden buttons.
To perform the function of a hidden button, swipe upwards the button's indicator.
To hide the indicators at the bottom of the screen, tap the Gesture hints switch to deactivate
it.
Setting the navigation bar
Launch the Settings app, tap Display → Navigation bar, and then select an option.
• N AVIGATION TYPE: Set the device to show or hide the navigation bar. To hide the
navigation bar, select the Full screen gestures feature. When the navigation bar
is hidden, you can use the functions of the soft buttons by swiping upwards their
indicators.
• B UTTON ORDER: Change the order of the buttons on the navigation bar.
• G esture hints: Display the indicators for the hidden buttons so that you can recognise
where to swipe up while the navigation bar is hidden. This option appears only when you
select the Full screen gestures feature.
