Set text entry modes to make it easier for you
to enter names, numbers, and messages.
In a text entry screen, press * to switch to
any of these entry modes:

Primary
Enter text using a method that
you set.
Numeric
Enter numbers only (see
page 27).
Symbol
Enter symbols only (see page 27).
Secondary Enter text using a method that
you set.
To assign a Primary or Secondary text
entry mode:
1 In any text entry screen, press Options.
2 Scroll to Text Setup and press Select.
