    Wide range of accessories available. BIGAB 8–12 with its 30 years in service is a faithful servant indeed. It is light and versatile but has a strong frame and greater load capacity than the 7 10 model. BIGAB 8 12 has become popular for use together with wheel excavators, when a strong frame is required but high speed towing is not as important.

    Security post position 2.4 Working at extreme conditions Recommended working temperature range for a Bigab trailer is –30°C up to +40°C. Note that working at low temperatures accelerates hydraulic gaskets wearing and increases hydraulic hoses exposure to damages and steel constructions exposure to brittle fracture. When working at lower temperature than recommended, lift lighter loads than usual.

  • Page 15 7 10, 8 12, 10 14 Hook The trailer is equipped with adjustable hook for three different standard container heights (see figure below). Coupling hitch and reflector The coupling hitch is used for coupling other trailed devices behind the trailer. Coupling hitch is also used for coupling the reflector for slow moving vehicles (see figure below).

    7 10, 8 12, 10 14 Frame locking The hydraulic frame lock is used to lock the frame during the exchange function. The manometer is present to indicate the tensile force on the cylinder. The manometer is set at 100 bar on delivery, but can subsequently be adjusted either up or down according to the size of the tractor.

If the tower is not adjusted upwards during on loading, there is a considerable risk of the exchange’s lock being damaged if the container frame catches in the rollers.
