4. Connect the battery negative (-) terminal.
5. Start up the engine and check any water leaks.

Water pump removal

1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
2. Remove the lower crankcase.
3. Drain the coolant. Open the radiator cap and the
drainage plug and let the coolant off in a container.
- NEVER OPEN THE RADIATOR CAP AND/OR THE DRAIN-
AGE PLUG WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT.
4. Remove the timing belt
5. Remove the water pump removing the relevant
fixing screws and nuts.
