TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

When there is something wrong with your refrigerator, check the following points before asking for
repair.
PROBLEM
The Appliance does not operate.
Appliance cools too much.
Food is too warm.
Heavy build up of frost, possibly
on the door seal.
Unusual noise.
The compressor does not start
immediately a�er changing the
temperature se�ng.
Water on the floor or on the
storage shelves.
CAUSE
The Appliance is not switched
on.
Mains plug is not plugged in or
is loose.
Fuse has blown or is defec�ve.
Socket is defec�ve.
Temperature is set too cold.
Temperature is not properly
adjusted.
Door was opened for an
extended period of �me.
A large quan�ty of warm food
was placed in the appliance
within the last 24 hours.
The appliance is near a heat
source.
Door seal is not air �ght
(possibly a�er reversing the
door).
Appliance not level.
Appliance is touching the wall of
others.
A component e.g. a pipe on the
rear of the appliance is touching
another part of the appliance or
the wall.
This is normal, no error has
occurred.
This is normal because of
condensa�on.

REMEDY
Switch on the appliance.
Insert mains plug.
Check fuse, replace if necessary.
Mains malfunc�ons are to be
corrected by an electrician.
Turn the temperature regulator
to warmer se�ng temporarily.
Please check the "Temperature
control " sec�on on page5 to learn
how to adjust the temperature
regulator.
Open the door only as long as
necessary.
Turn the temperature regulator
to a cooler se�ng temporarily.
Please check the "IMPORTANT
SAFEGUARDS" sec�on to learn
how to adjust the temperature
regulator to offset the heat
source, or find another suitable
place.
Carefully warm the leaking
sec�ons of the door seal with a
hair dryer (on a cool se�ng). At
the same �me, shape the
warmed door seal by hand such
that it sits correctly.
Readjust the foot.
Move the appliance slightly.
If necessary, carefully bend the
component out of the way.
The compressor starts a�er a
period of �me.
Wipe the floor with a dry cloth.
