INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Identify what panel is being replaced. a. If there are multiple panels in a single run, start on the one closest to the eave. 2. Remove fiberglass panel and panel overlapping the fiberglass panel. 3. With the panels removed, measure the distance from the end of the downslope panel to the purlin. Using a chalk line, mark the purlin location on the top surface of the downslope panel. 4. Trim downslope panel along the line that was marked in step (3). 5. Place the left and right Rail Flashing (#13 & 14) between purlin and R‐Panels, (see picture for orientation). a. If insulation is present, flashing should be installed between the insulation and purlin. 6. Remove any existing adhesive from the interface leg on the existing R‐panels, then place new butyl tape on mating surface (Do not remove paper liner at this point). 7. Dry fit the left and right Rail (#1 & 2), the end of the Rail with the vertical flange should be on the eave side (see picture for orientation). End of the Rail needs to be 23” from the purlin, make a mark. 8. Apply butyl tape across the end of the rail, remove paper liner. 9. Install the eave side thermal break (#4a) by sliding the thermal break between the purlin and insulation. 10. Place mounting bracket (#8) on the center purlin and fasten to purlin using (5) 1” concealer head screws (#11) using the predrilled holes as a guide for placement. 11. Return to the eave side of the rails and using a carpenter’s square to check the rails are square to each other and are on the mark from step 7. 12. Paper liner can now be removed from butyl tape under the rail. 13. Return to the mounting bracket and using large vise‐grips (or similar) secure the mounting bracket vertical flange to the corresponding rail and flashing. Then secure mounting bracket to rail and flashing using (2) 1.5” Concealer Pancake Head w/ EPDM washer screws (#12) on each side. 14. Place the r‐profile mounting bracket (#6) over the purlin on the eave side and mark the edge of the bracket onto the r‐panel. Remove bracket and apply butyl tape along mark. 15. Using metal shears notch z‐enclosure (#7) and bend away from top flange to installed rail width. 16. Install the front z‐enclosure with bottom flange between r‐panel mounting bracket and the r‐panel roof. Secure down with (3) 1” concealer head screws (#11) through the r‐panel mounting bracket (#6), z‐ enclosure (#7), butyl tape, r‐panel and the purlin. 17. Install the end z‐enclosure (#7) over the butyl tape placed in step 8. Secure down with (3) 1” concealer head screws (#11) through the z‐enclosure, butyl tape and r‐panel. 18. Place butyl tape on all mating surfaces as shown, remove paper liner when complete. 19. Using a metal roofing construction sealant, place a ¼” bead on all interface edges between the z‐enclosure, rails and the r‐panel. 20. Place two L‐shaped ¼” beads of metal roofing construction sealant at the indicated spot below. 21. Place the Open End Cap (#5) down onto the eave side of the rail, making sure it is fully seated in place. 22. Using clamps, clamp the open end cap to the rails and fasten down with (2) 1” concealer head screws (#11) (use the pre‐drilled holes as a placement guide). 23. Using (6) 1.5” Concealer Pancake Head w/ EPDM washer screws (#12) open end cap to rails and z‐enclosure. (2 vertical screws into end z‐enclosure) (2 horizontal screws securing the open endcap to rail and z‐ enclosure on each side). 24. On the ridge side, place the starter thermal break (#4b) between the insulation (if present) and the purlin. 25. Place butyl tape on the starter panel on all interface surfaces, see below in blue (both sides). Apply a ¼” bead of metal construction sealant at the location seen below in orange (both sides). 26. Place starter panel (#3) onto rails, then press down to make sure it is fully down in place. 27. Place butyl tape on starter panel flange and rail as pictured below. Then apply an L‐shaped ¼” bead of sealant at the location indicated below in orange on both sides. 28. Place starter panel cap (#5) onto starter panel and secure down with (2) 1” concealer head screws (#11) fastened vertically indicated by the green dot below. Then fasten horizontally with (4) 1.5” Concealer Pancake Head w/ EPDM washer screws (#12) using the pre‐drilled holes as position indicators. 29. Place 2 strips of butyl tape on the starter panel across the full width of the panel, see blue line below. 30. Reinstall overlapping r‐panel removed in step 2. Existing screw holes across the panel will not be used and should be filled in with sealant. 31. Secure rails/starter panel to r‐panel and purlins using 3” Tek screw w/EPDM washer (#9). One screw per purlin per side, 6 screws in total. 32.
