- Page 3 PUSH AWAY SAFETY Slingshot’s 2018 Compstick Guardian (below the bar) control bar comes with a push-away safety release system. This system is simple, reliable and highly effective. When used properly, activating the safety release will allow your kite to depower completely as it flags-out on the safety line attached to your kite leash.
