3.TAKING THE FRONT PLATE OFF THE STEM. STEM FACING THE RIGHT WAY. The handlebars need to be attached now. Take the front plate off the stem and put the handle bars in and tighten that stem plate on again. This will be done with a 4,5 or 6mm Allen key depending on the bike.

Make sure the cables aren’t tangled or twisted and are like this picture here. Please make sure bars are to your liking and angle and then tighten the screws, making sure there is an even gap between the top and bottom on the stem plate. 4.

Attach the front wheel to the bike. The easiest way it to flip the bike upside down and have the bike sit on the seat and handlebars. Now place the front wheel in the bike and tighten the quick release. PEDALS - VERY IMPORTANT Pedals need to be inserted correctly and tightened so there is no movement.

Using fingers on wrench flats, thread right side pedal into right crank. Sidedness is determined how you stand over the bike. Turn right to tighten and left to loosen for this side. Use the 15mm spanner and make sure the pedal is tight. The left side is opposite.
