Classroom Sound Meter
Using Your Product
¥ To switch your product on press the ON/OFF button on the top of your sound meter.
¥ To set the level, use the + and - keys until the green light reaches the required level.
¥ Once any sound is made above the limit set, the green and amber lights at this level
and below will light.
¥ If sound is made above the set limit, the levels below will light and the amber lights
above the limit will light.
¥ If sound is continuously above the set level for more than 3 seconds all lights will flash.
Battery Precautions
¥ This product is powered by 3 x AA batteries (not included).
¥ Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
¥ The supply terminals are not to be short circuited.
¥ Only batteries of equal size and type should be used.
¥ Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
¥ Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
¥ Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
Replacing Batteries
¥ Remove the battery hatch cover and carefully remove the batteries and dispose of
them responsibly.
¥ Insert new batteries, ensuring the correct polarity. Replace the battery hatch firmly and
accordingly.
¥ Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
¥ Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
