Once your iPhone is docked into the Duo, just turn the Duo power on using the Power button. When your iPhone is properly docked, and the Duo is on, you should see all three Mode LEDs lit red at the same time. When the iPhone is docked into the Duo, you cannot select the other Modes of play as those modes are all for "detached modes" of play. When Docking Mode is active, all non‐voice audio from your iPhone will be routed to your Duo speakers. This includes audio such as music playback, audio from movies and apps, and audio notifications. Playing Music in Detached Modes Bluetooth, Home Wi‐Fi, and Away Mode are all "detached" modes of music play. This means that you must ensure that the iPhone is NOT docked into the Duo in order to use these modes. Once your iPhone is undocked from the Lightning connector, you will be allowed to switch between these three modes on your Duo. You can set your Duo on a flat surface with speakers facing up. The Duo comes with rubber feet that will ensure it stays in place on most surfaces when you play music. Playing Music in Bluetooth Mode 1. Ensure your iPhone is detached from the Duo. 2. Press the Mode Select button to select Bluetooth Mode. You will know you are in Bluetooth Mode when the Bluetooth Mode LED is lit. If this is the first time you are selecting Bluetooth Mode, the LED will be lit red. This means that the Duo is not paired with a device. 3. Whenever you are in Bluetooth Mode, the Duo will broadcast its Bluetooth signal for devices to connect to it. Go to your iPhone's Bluetooth Settings ‐ you should see your Duo Speaker appear at the bottom of this screen as an available device. Select the Duo speaker on your iPhone and your phone will connect to your Duo. You are ready to play music to your Duo via Air Play! 4.
