Tip: During the warm weeks of spring especially,
the wasp trap should be set up in April in order
to catch the wasp queens.
1 queen = 1 population of up to 15,000 wasps!
Operating Instructions
1. Determine the number of wasp traps required based on
their effective area
2. Determine the direction from which the wasps are coming
3. Set up or hang the wasp traps at least 2 m away (depen-
ding on local conditions, possibly even further) from the
eating or seating area.
Important: Never position them too close to the eating or
seating area!
4. Fill the lower section up to the marking with sugary liquid
5. Important: Allow the wasp trap to stand for up to 2 hours
in order to allow passing scout wasps to alert their colony
to this new feeding site.
6. After this time, close the trap and do not move it.
7. Check, drain and clean the trap every other day
8. For bee-keepers: place several traps at a distance from the
apiary or free-standing bee hives in the wasps' flight path.
