Useage Hints:
If a Rod Alarm false‐triggers (for example, a gust of wind causes the Rod Alarm alarm to go off, but you can
see that the tip‐up didn't trip) – you don't have to leave the warmth of your hut. Just press the button on
the receiver, this will stop it beeping for that Rod Alarm. If, after 30 seconds, the Rod Alarm detects more
movement, then the beeper will go off again. So you still won't miss a bite!
If a Rod Alarm keeps false‐triggering, try to identify why. If shore fishing, try re‐positioning the Rod Alarm
towards the rod handle to minimize extra movement. On a tip‐up, sometimes the flags blow in the wind
even when they are folded down causing false triggers, so you can mound some snow around the flag or
even put a bit of snow on the flag itself to stop it blowing around without stopping the tip‐up from
working).
