  • Page 3: Charging The Battery

    Charging the battery Use the charger to charge the battery before using it for the first time. A computer can be also used to charge the device by connecting it via the USB cable. When battery power is low, the battery icon in the mobile application appears empty.

    Turning the device on and off Press and hold the button for a few seconds to turn on the device. The device will beep after it turns on. To turn off the device, press and hold the button again.

  • Page 6 Store the meat in a closed container or put the meat in a container and keep it closed for at least 3 minutes before starting the analysis. Open the container just enough so you can insert the FoodSniffer. Turn the device on and launch the mobile application.
  • Page 7 Choose the type of meat that you are going to analyze by selecting corresponding icon Click on the GET icon to start the analysis.
  • Page 8 Wait for the device to finish sampling, which takes about 20 seconds to complete. During this period hold the device steadily above the meat. Do not let FoodSniffer touch the WARNING: meat product as the tip protecting the sensors inside may get contaminated.
  • Page 9 After the sampling process is complete, you will see the results on mobile device's screen. Fresh – indicates that the product is fresh and safe to eat. Unsafe – indicates that the spoilage process has already begun. This does not mean that it is not safe to consume.
