The implement must be hitched only to the tractor’s drawbar. Hitching the implement to any other point may result in serious accidents. Under no circumstances should there be riders in the implement because of the danger entailed. Drive safely and slow down before braking or turning. Very large models require extreme precautions when turning since the implement takes most of any turning room available.

The required power for drag, in normal circumstances, may be inferior as mentioned, but it is required that the tractors can control the planter in complicated circumstances, such as: uneven surfaces, humid soils, and transportation in roads, etc. It is necessary to have enough hydraulic power and liquid flow. The minimum recommended pressure is of 130 kg/cm2.

To do so you must release the butterfly nut A in figure 5, this allows to lower the bar for its hook up.

8. Check if the pressure of the turning brakes of the left wheels is correct. (Figure 13) this allows to move normally during work. Loosening the A square head set screw, shown in figure 12, you will ease turning of the wheels, adjusting it the turning friction will increase making it harder to turn.
Planter settings. Adjustment of the position of the markers. The markers are positioned in factory according to the number of lines and separation between them and according to the model of the planter. In this way both markers, left and right will indicate the center line of the tractor´s next swath.

To vary the intensity of the mark, loosen the bolts (B-Figure 11) and register the angle of attack of the disc. In a well prepared soil, a soft mark will be clearly visible; while in no-till seeding will require a more visible marking set up.

If you will perform maintenance or registration tasks under the planter: Place all locks in the elevation cylinders and set correctly the frame support stands. The working pressure of the blade is obtained from a compression spring, this one can be adjusted with the nut E in figure 16.
Do not force the limits of the compression spring; therefore damage could be done to the unit. Position of the fertilizer tube: with the two bolts: E the position of the tube is adjusted, tightening one and loosening the other and vice versa, move the tube until it almost touches the surfsce of the disk, this is the correct way to deposit the fertilizer.

Pressure of the seed pressing wheel The seed pressing wheels are made of semi-pneumatic rubber 1” x 8” and are located immediately behind the point where seed is dropped. It´s function is to press the seed accurately in the soil, and guarantee proper soil-to-seed contact, thus favoring seed emergence.

Angle of work Seven angles of work are possible, that are selected by moving the lever (B-Figure 23) moving the lever backwards into either one of the four positions, according to the need. Neutral Position: position zero. It compacts the seeding line, creating a small ridge. Positive positions: points, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5.
VARIABLE IN-ROW SPACING. The W630 Super Walter Planters are designed to plant at variable in-row spacing, from 70 to 52,5 centimeters. There are also models that can be set up in a separation of 100cm in the case of cotton seeding.

The planting units that should be removed could be anyone, but we have chosen those marked with an X because these would be the ones that would need to be moved more.

Modify the position of the fertilizer discs and the no-till coulter blades, according to the new units configuration. The discs and the coulter blades, corresponding to the eliminated planting units, must be removed from the planter, the sane should occur to the fertilizer hoses. The remaining fertilizer outlet must be closed with lids or caps shown as A in figure 33, there is no need to remove the feed cups.

Calibration of seed scrapers and star-shaped ejectors The triggers: E in figure 38 scrapes the seeds from the plate. If you use calibrated seeds and the plate corresponds to the type and size of seed, these seed scrapers will avoid more than one grain per plate hole.

Seed planting gearbox The W630 DV planter is equipped with 54 speed gearboxes, one or two according to the model; this is to obtain the desired planting rate. It works in oil bath, It´s capacity is of 4 liters of SAE 30 oil.

Contact drive wheel The driving wheel/s transmits movement to the planting and fertilizing units. The size of these tires is 6.00 x 16” and the recommended pressure is 30 Lbs. Keep in mind that if you change the tire diameter, the dosage will be harmfully affected. Height regulation Out of the production line in factory, the regulation is for normal working conditions.
FERTILIZATION Fertilization hoppers The w630 planter allows simple or double fertilization. Each hopper has two fertilization lines of feed cups. Inside the hopper the is a dividing plate that is used when double fertilization is applied, and is removed for simple fertilization, so all the capacity of the hopper can be used: A figure 43.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM Set up for ONE COMMAND- W630 planter. The hydraulic system is activated by using only one command from the tractor. It´s connected by two hoses to the tractor. It has four hydraulic cylinders (1) for elevation and descent, with a proportional dividing and blocking valve (3).

MAINTENANCE OF THE W630 PLANTER MODELS PLANTER MAINTENANCE Apart from the periodic maintenance your planter requires, this section will detail any necessary part replacement the implement may need; the planter requires replacement of parts with natural wear such as disc openers, seed discs and fertilizer discs that are to be replaced when wear is excessive.
Cares during the first days of work The planter you have acquired requires during the first days of work, the precautions further on given. You must pay attention closely and re- adjust (if necessary) all the bolts and nuts of the planter until it is stable, pay special and specific attention during the first three days of work.

It is important to keep the chains tensioned properly. These are tensioned by registered by adjusting the chain idler bolts. Check the tension regularly and make any necessary adjustments. Proper use and maintenance will ensure long life and optimum operation. Lubrication points Figure 1 shows the labels that identify each lubrication point.

The frequencies are stated in a general way; of course the weather, terrain conditions and general environment will determine more often lubrication requirements. The lubrication in figures 16, 17, 19 and 20 must be done with extreme caution, not allowing the extreme grease pressure to damage the bearing´s retainers or seals.
Tasks at the end of the working season Once the planting season has ended, it is necessary to overcome some tasks to the planter, mostly cleaning. This is to leave the planter ready for the next year´s working season. The main tasks that should be done are: 1.
5. Grease zerk or Nipples lubrication. Once the planter is clean, it is advisable to grease the grease zerks or alemite nipples to eliminate any moisture or water remnant inside mobile elements. If possible, store the planter where it is protected from rain and sunshine till the next planting season.
Mobile parts. Clean and grease all mobile parts. Place the chains in case you removed them and set them with chain idler. Do not oil or grease the chains; oiling them will allow dirt to accumulate, hinder operation and cause early wear. Use only kerosene to clean these parts. 5.

Bearings (Figure 31) The implement contains sealed bearings in beds, depth control wheels, tapered bearings in wheel hubs, and press wheels. Tapered roller bearings may be calibrated and adjusted.
