Thank you for your choice of the Bachmann Branchline Dynamis Digital Trainset. Please take
a few moments to familiarise yourself with the system. Please also refer to the enclosed
general train set User Guide, although some set contents may differ.
Step 1: Getting Started
Connect the Basestation to power supply. Insert batteries into handset and turn on.
Press the Stop Key if the indicator is 'ON'. The IR Receiver LEDs will flash for a few seconds
as connection is made.
From new, your train has a default address of 3, Dynamis powers on ready to operate a
train with an address of 3.
Dynamis has a context menu. A list of the meanings of each item is shown overleaf.
Step 2: Turning the headlights on
Press headlight key to turn
headlights ON/OFF
Step 3: Changing the address of your train
Each digital train has an address - a number between 1 and 9999 - that it will respond to
The address can be changed as often as desired, but when carrying out this procedure the
train being addressed must be the only train on the track connected to the Dynamis
Use WRITE ADDRESS ON SERVICE TRACK option in the Program menu
press MENU [SCROLL] PROGRAM
Use
to delete existing address then, enter the new address and press [PROG]
The train will move momentarily during programming.
Step 4. Changing the handset roster information
To change the name press - MENU
EDIT NAME
Enter a new name eg CLASS 150 DMU using the keypad
To change the Icon press - MENU [SCROLL] EDIT SYMBOL
or none.

Step 5. Running another train
Press [LOCO] and enter the address of the
loco / train to be run.
If there is already a roster entry this will be
shown, otherwise a new roster record is
created with the default name of
'Locomotive X' where X was the address
entered. This can be changed to be a more
representative name (step 3 on left).
