My GE AC model AHW06LZ has a flashing red light indicating that the filter should be removed and cleaned. BUT THE FILTER WILL NOT SLIDE OUT (to the left). IT SEEMS TO BE STUCK. SO WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THE FILTER OUT TO CLEAN IT?

To remove a stuck filter from the GE AC model AHW06LZ for cleaning, first turn off the air conditioner and unplug it from the power outlet. Then, open the front grille to access the air filter located behind it. Gently pull the filter out. If it is stuck, carefully wiggle it side to side or use a soft tool to loosen it without damaging the unit. After cleaning, place the filter back and press the Filter Reset pad to turn off the indicator light.
