HOW TO USE THE SLAW BOARD
& CABBAGE SHREDDER
1. Cut the cabbage or leafy vegetable head
into quarters or a size that will fit into the
wooden Sliding Carriage.
2. Slide the Sliding Carriage into the groove
on the Cabbage Shredder Base. NEVER use
the Cabbage Shredder without the Sliding
Carriage! SEVERE INJURY MAY OCCUR!
3. Place the sectioned cabbage into the
Sliding Carriage.
4. Hold the Cabbage Shredder at a 45
over a pan. The sharp Blade edges should be
facing up.
5. To hold the cabbage in the Sliding Carriage,
place four fingers on the top of the cabbage and your thumb on the outside of
the Sliding Carriage. DO NOT allow fingers or thumb to come in contact with the
Base and the Blades. The Thumb Guard is on the Sliding Carriage as a safety
measure. Do not allow your thumb to go past the Thumb Guard. CAUTION!

6. With up and down, quick motions, slide the Sliding Carriage while applying
pressure to the cabbage. The sliced cabbage will fall through the bottom of the
Cabbage Shredder into the pan.
7. USE CAUTION! When the cabbage in the Sliding Carriage becomes
approximately 2" (5 cm) thick, STOP SLICING! Cut the small left-over pieces
by hand. Blades are very sharp and may lead to serious personal injury if the
cabbage gets too small. CAUTION! SHARP BLADES!

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

To clean the Slaw Board & Cabbage Shredder, hand wash with warm, soapy
water. Rinse with clean water and dry immediately. CAUTION! SHARP
BLADES! Avoid any contact with the Sharp Blades! This product is NOT
dishwasher safe.
NOTE: It is highly suggested to coat the Blades with a food-grade silicone
spray to prevent corrosion.
