Attention Consumer:
Your refrigerator is intended for use in double side vent applications only and has
a ventilation fan mounted to the cooling system. This fan is not described in the
Operator's Guide that comes with the refrigerator. Please read these
instructions to learn about the ventilation fan. Keep these instructions for future
reference.

Operation

In order for the refrigerator to cool properly, a sufficient quantity of air must flow
over the cooling system when the refrigerator is operated at high ambient
temperatures. Your refrigerator has a fan on the cooling unit to provide the
necessary amount of air flow. The fan is controlled by a thermostat, and begins
to operate when the area behind the refrigerator reaches about 95° F. The fan
runs until the temperature lowers to about 80°.
NOTE: The air flows in through the lower intake vent, through the refrigerator
cooling system, and out through the upper exhaust vent. This area must
be clear and free of any obstructions.

Maintenance

The ventilation fan operates on 12 volts DC current.
The ventilation fan operates independently from the refrigerator. If the area
behind the refrigerator is above 95° F., the fan will run even if the refrigerator is
shut down. This can cause battery drain. To avoid battery drain during extended
storage of the RV or the trailer, always disconnect the D.C. power.
