2.2.6 Front Cable Management Bezel The removable bezel located on the front of the C2X chassis provides added fiber protection. The front bezel is removable prior to installation. The front bezel has pre-installed cable management fingers to help route fiber in the C2X 2RU, 3RU and 4RU chassis.
Upon receipt of your order, carefully unpack contents and compare it with the packing list and the order placed. While items described below are a comprehensive list that includes C2X chassis, trays, doors, bezel, and splice tray, the contents of your order may vary.
3.4 Location and Space C2X chassis, trays and modules require enough space in front and rear for easy access. Leave as much side clearance for tray and chassis removal and worker access as required by your application or local regulations.
3. Pivot door down on the hinges to open. Fig. 4-1: Open the C2X door The following installation instructions refer to the C2X 1RU chassis only. 1. Locate the latch on the left and right side of the front door.
4.2 Mounting the C2X Chassis on the Rack The following installation instructions refer to the 4RU, 3RU and 2RU chassis sizes. 1. Locate the desired rack space for the C2X chassis. 2. Determine the chassis positioning that fits your application.
3. Open the front door to access the C2X chassis mounting brackets. 4. Using a Phillips screwdriver with 6" extension and the provided Phillips screws, install the chassis on the front of the rack by aligning the mounting holes on the bracket with the holes on the rack. Use two screws per side to attach the chassis to the rack.
Extension brackets for the C2X chassis are available (sold separately) to fit in a 23" rack. When mounting to a 23" rack, follow these instructions to mount the brackets: 1. Attach both extension brackets to each side of the C2X chassis mounting holes using the Phillips screws provided in the bracket kit.
Section Five: Installing and Removing Modules 5.1 Installing Modules in a Tray The following installation instructions refer to all C2X and HX AOMs. 1. Determine which side of the module will be the front and rear. 2. Insert the module into the desired space on the tray. Slightly angle the front of the module down and slide it forward until connectors are sticking out of the tray.
Section Six: Installing and Removing Trays in the Chassis 6.1 Installing Trays into the Chassis When installing trays in the C2X chassis, start at the bottom-most tray position and work your way up as you add in trays. The following installation instructions refer to all C2X chassis sizes.
6.2 Removing Trays from the Chassis The following installation instructions refer to all C2X chassis sizes. 1. Locate the desired tray that will be removed from the chassis. 2. Unlock the tray plungers by pulling out until you hear plungers snap and release from chassis.
The following installation instructions refer to all C2X chassis sizes. 1. Once patch plates are ready to be installed in the chassis, locate the bottom-most position available.
7.2 Removing Patch Plates from the Chassis The following installation instructions refer to all C2X chassis sizes. 1. Locate the desired patch plate that will be removed from the chassis. 2. Unlock the locking pins by pulling pins out until you hear pins snap and release from the chassis.
Section Eight: C2X Port Labeling and Designation 8.1 Port Labeling All C2X AOMs come pre-labeled with your order. AOMs will be labeled on the top of the AOM directly above the connectors. 8.2 Designation Cards Designation cards are used to identify adapter fiber jumper information at the front and rear of the chassis.
The following installation instructions refer to the C2X 1RU chassis only. 1. Open the door to the front or rear of the C2X 1RU chassis. 2. Attach Velcro™ patches onto the designation cards as well as front and rear of chassis. Place patches and designation cards in locations shown in Fig.
Each tray has an available cable management finger to route fiber. The following installation instructions refer to the C2X 4RU, 3RU and 2RU chassis sizes. 1. With patch plates or trays already installed in the chassis, route fiber into and through the cable management fingers.
The following installation instructions refer to the C2X 1RU chassis only. Fiber should be routed starting with the bottom-most tray or patch plate. 1. With patch plates or trays already installed in the chassis, route fiber into the cable management openings.
Splice trays come assembled when ordering patch and splice configurations. The following installation instructions refer to the C2X 4RU, 3RU and 2RU splice trays. 1. Attach a Velcro zip-tie band at the front and rear center tie-down slot on the splice tray.
NOTE: Use care to maintain bend radius and not damage fibers. 1. Remove top clear cover of the cassette to start the splicing process. C2X modules are provided with one meter of pre-terminated 250µm pigtails (ribbon or stranded), Kevlar clamp, IFC holder and splice sleeves.
