(7) Ensure that the Operation Switch is turned off before inserting the power cord plug into a power source otherwise the pump will start, causing the cylinder piston to extend and the pump to create pressure. (8) To prevent electric shock, ensure the pump earth wire is connected to the electrical plug and ...

(15) Do not grip the high pressure by hand when pressure is being exerted. If the pressure hose breaks while it is being gripped by hand, high pressure hydraulic oil will be suddenly dispersed, and serious injury such as a hole being opened in one s hand may occur. (16) The high pressure hose is a consumable item.

1. Overview (1) This pump is an electric pump for operating a hydraulic actuator (cylinder, etc.). The pump features automatic changeover between high pressure and low pressure. Both the high pressure and low pressure pumps initially operate simultaneously. Once the circuit pressure reaches 1.5 MPa, the low pressure safety valve activates and all oil flow from the low pressure pump is then returned to the tank via the low pressure safety valve.

5. Safety Cautions for Usage WARNING Pumps will not generate pressure until the discharge outlet plug is removed. Therefore before starting, remove the plug from the outlet port and replace with high pressure hoses or couplers. WARNING The maximum output pressure of these pumps is 70 MPa. For safety, each pump is factory fitted with a high pressure safety valve which functions as a safety device and is adjusted to the maximum operating pressure at the time of shipping.

WARNING Carefully check the increase in oil temperature and motor heating when the pump is used continuously, and be sure to follow the time regulation for each pump. CAUTION Use general-purpose ISO VG32 oil with the electric pump (for example, RIKEN POWER OIL).
6. Fixed Installation Method 4-M6(depth9) (1)Install the pump in a level and safe location. (a) Utilizing using the screw holes on the bottom of the oil tank. Rubber for legs (b) Remove the rubber from the legs. (c) Remove the adhesive from the screw area. (2)...

:Tighten the hexagon cap nut of the coupler (S-1, 2, 5) by hand completely WARNING until there is no gap between the male and the female couplers and the edge of the hexagon nut is flush with the face of the male coupler. The cylinder will not operate smoothly if a gap exists as shown in the diagram below.
7. Preparation Before Use The cylinder will not operate smoothly with air inside the hose or piping. Air should be released from within the high pressure hose and the high pressure pipe using the method shown below. (1)When Using a High Pressure Hose 1) Attach a mating coupler to the coupler on the high pressure hose from which air is to be released.
8. Preventive Maintenance (1)Inspection of Items Before Operation CAUTION (A) : Turn off power, and inspect the cable for loose connections. Tighten loose connections if it is found. (B)With the cylinder piston fully retracted, check the dip stick to ensure the level of hydraulic ...
(C)Method for Supplying Hydraulic Oil 1) Remove the air valve and supply oil. *The screw areas of the air valve are in 2 places. Once the first screw area has been removed, lift up the air valve and turn to the left one more time. 2) Use a level gauge to ensure that the amount of oil is in an appropriate range.
10.Operating Method (1) SMP−30NV、 SMP−40NV The single-acting cylinder is operated using the operation switch. Maintaining of pressure and intermediate stop are not possible. Electrical Circuit Diagram Pressure Gauge Attachment Opening (G1/2) Single-Acting Cylinder High Pressure Hose Example of Use: For a single-acting cylinder (spring return): Connect the high pressure hose and cylinder as shown in the Operation Switch diagram above.
1) Open the air valve. 2) Before operation, set the pressure switch to the required pressure. Direction Control Valve (SMV-33) 3) Loosen the lever of the direction control valve by turning it in a Loosen counter-clockwise direction. (return) 4) Turn on the operation switch to start the motor. 5) Turn the lever of the direction control valve in a clockwise direction Tighten and tighten by hand.
(4) SMP−30SK、 SMP−40SK The single-acting cylinder is advanced using the operational switch. When the pressure on the pressure switch is reached, the pump motor stops, pressure is held and the cylinder maintains load until pressure is released (by operational switch). Hold at a lower pressure than set on the pressure switch plus intermediate cylinder stroke stop is also possible.
(5) SMP−30BR、 SMP−40BR A single-acting cylinder is operated using the direction control (manual 3-way valve). Pressure can also be finely adjusted by means of an external relief valve. Pressure hold is also possible. <Method for Adjusting Pressure with the External Relief Valve (PRV)> 1) Attach the hose or cylinder to the discharge outlet.
(6) SMP−30NE、 SMP−40NE A single-acting cylinder is controlled remotely by a solenoid operated directional control valve. The cylinder can be instantly stopped and held at any stroke position while pressure is maintained. (7) SMP−30RK、 SMP−40RK The single-acting cylinder is controlled remotely by a solenoid operated direction control valve. The piston of the cylinder can be stopped at any position. Pressure Switch (SPS-7A) Electrical Circuit Diagram KD-2C Single-Acting Cylinder High Pressure Hose Example of Use: For a single-acting cylinder (spring return): Connect the high pressure hose and cylinder as shown in the diagram.
(8) SMP−30C、 SMP−40C The direction control valve has a 4-way, 3-position manual change valve (SMV-43) to operate a double-acting cylinder. Maintenance of pressure is possible by means of the pressure set on the pressure switch. When the valve handle is in the middle position, hydraulic oil discharged by the pump returns to the oil tank.
(9) SMP−30DCB、 SMP−40DCB Pump fitted with a manually operated directional control valve incorporating a counter balance valve (SCB-43B) for the operation of double-acting cylinders. Pressure maintenance is possible by means of the SPS-7A pressure switch. Pressure Switch (SPS-7A) Electrical Circuit Diagram SCB-43B Port B Double-Acting Cylinder...
(10) SMP−30DVH、 SMP−40DVH The direction control valve has a 4-way, 3-position manual change valve (SMVH-43) to control the operation of a double-acting cylinder. By using the handle of the direction control valve, it is possible to stop the piston of the cylinder in any position and to maintain the pressure.
(11) SMP−30CR、 SMP−40CR This pump is fitted with a 4-way, 3 position manual direction control valve (SMV-43) designed to operate a double-acting cylinder. Additionally, pump pressure can be finely adjusted by the externally adjustable pressure relief valve (PRV). Pressure hold is also possible. <Method for Adjusting Pressure with the External Relief Valve>...
