PRE-CLEANING
Wipe the external surfaces of the handpiece, cord, and plug with enzymatic detergent, sterile water, or tap water
immediately after use.
MANUAL CLEANING
Fully immerse the handpiece, cord, and plug in the

cleaning solution. Allow them to soak for ten
minutes. Note the manufacturer's instructions
regarding the temperature and dilution factor for the
detergent.

While immersed, gently scrub the areas shown below with the appropriate brushes (handpiece cleaning kit item EG70338009)

- Page 2 HANDPIECE CLEANING – QUICK-REFERENCE GUIDE Using a nylon-bristle brush, scrub the shelf that contains the Olympus logo and part number. Actuate the blade retention mechanism. Flush the interior of the handpiece with cool distilled, deionized, or potable water. Actuate the retention mechanism while flushing.
