- Page 2 Instruction Manual – PGL-TERA Guarantee conditions Your product is covered by a 2-year guarantee. The guarantee is valid from the date of purchase as shown on your receipt. To make a guarantee claim, please contact the reseller from whom you purchased the product. Exception from the guarantee commitment The guarantee will be invalided in any of the following events: • if the product has been modified or redesigned • if the product has been connected to a dimmer • if the product has been connected to the wrong voltage or to a dimmer control device • if the product has been used outside the recommended temperature range • if the product has been subjected to mechanical damage, e.g. dropped on a concrete floor • if the product has been dismantled for troubleshooting/repairs Read the user instructions before using the product. Save the instructions for future reference. Safety instructions Before using the light, read and follow these instructions: • the light is NOT intended for outdoor use • unplug the power cord when you clean, disinfect or move the product • disconnect the power if the electrical connections to the device get wet • only use spare parts and consumables for this product as provided by the manufacturer • temperature range +16°C – +26°C • make sure your hands are dry during installation • never use the product in a sealed compartment; always allow air to circulate around it • do not connect the product to a dimmer • do not look directly at the light when it is on • take care when connecting the product to avoid electric shocks • the product’s heat sinks will become hot (35–50°C) during use • all electrical installation work required to install the product must be performed by a qualified professional • do not use the product if it fails to light up, starts blinking or emits a weak light • In the event of malfunction, switch off the unit immediately. Never try to repair the product yourself, since this could cause serious damage and invalidate the guarantee General information Many indoor plants come from parts of the world where the daytime hours and light conditions are very different to our own. Growing indoors therefore places particularly high demands on the lighting. With the right light source, you can grow herbs and plants indoors and additionally enhance comfort for us humans. - Page 4 Instruction Manual – PGL-TERA Components 1. Power supply – 220V 2. LED Grow light - The LED grow light emits an artificial light that can replace the sun. 3. Built in Timer/Dimmer - Automatic setting of illumination time. Assembly The power cord can we inserted into the power supply fitted on top of the LED bar. The TERA comes with 2 pulleys to hang them at various ceiling solutions. They are also height adjustable. Proper placement The product should be placed in a suitable location indoor with a temperature between 16 and 26 degrees. The ideal environment is a temperature of 18 - 24 degrees, with a humidity of 50% and good air circulation. The product should be installed hanging from a stable surface. If the product is not placed horizontally it may result in the cultivation may be uneven. - Page 5 Instruction Manual – PGL-TERA Using the Timer / Dimmer The TERA has an integrated timer with 4 modes and 2 light adjustment buttons. The mode buttons have a LED that indicates the selected operating mode. The RED and BLUE buttons allow you to dim the lighting levels based on the following Timer settings Timer Selection: Herbs Flowers Other Light mode for other growing requirements • (Allows for custom timing settings, standard 24H) Select Flower Light mode for flowering plants • (Suitable for growing seeds and seedlings and plant maintenance) Salad Other Herbs Light mode for herbs • (Basil, rosemary, mint, dill etc.) BLUE Salad Light mode for salad leaves • (Chicory, kale, parsley etc.) Controller Overview Default Mode ON (hours) OFF (hours) Dimming level Other (*) Flower Herb Lettuce (*) Other can be adjusted according to the instructions below. - Page 6 Instruction Manual – PGL-TERA Modes (Other, Flower, Herb, Lettuce) Press the SELECT mode button to cycle the different settings. The red light indicator will shine constantly to indicate the selected mode. The remaining time is stored automatically. The selected mode and remaining time is retained even after a power failure. User selection (Other) The preset mode for OTHER is 24 hours lighting mode. To change the OTHER setting, please follow the following procedure 1. Disconnect the main power. 2. After 5 seconds, reconnect the main power while keeping the SELECT button pressed. 3. The LED’s will blink repeatedly, now you can select different time schedules for the Other Mode: 4. Press the SELECT button to cycle to the requested times; Select Other – 24 hours • Select Flower – 20 hours • Select Herb – 9 hours • Select Salad – 6 hours • 5. After selecting the required timing please disconnect the power. 6. When powering back on, the OTHER selection is set to your preference Dimming Press the RED or BLUE button to lower the light intensity. After reaching the OFF level the next time you press the RED or Blue button it will go back to 100% Light levels and pulse The TERA uses pulse technology to control light intensity.
