5. Battery Maintenance The battery is key component of the UPS. The battery lifetime depends on the circumstance temperature, charge and discharge times. High circumstance temperature and deep discharge will shorten the battery lifetime. 1) Sealed maintenance-free lead –acid battery be used in the standard. When being connected to the utility power whether the UPS has been turned on or not, the UPS keeps charging the battery and also offers the protective function of over charging and over discharging. -
