    Character and Number Input Character Keyboard The virtual keyboard is used for entering new text and editing texts in all the applications that require or need text inputs, for example writing a note, an SMS message etc. The title field notifies the text types.

    Numeric keyboard If you want to add a numbers or numeric signs to the text you are entering then you can switch the input keyboard from the character keyboard to the numeric keyboard by pressing the lens 123 key.     Contacts The contacts application allows you to save phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other contact information and manage your contacts.     Messages You can send and receive messages with the device in a number of ways and formats. You can send message using the Short Message Service (SMS), by Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) or though E-mail. MESSAGES SMS Messages SMS messages are messages that contain a text message. In order to send or receive an SMS text message you need to ensure that the number for your SMS service centre is stored on the device.

    Calendar The calendar function in mydevice allows you to keep track of your appoint- ments and events, tasks that you need. You can also set the various alarms and time functions to remind you. CALENDAR Viewing your Calendar You can view the calendar in a number of ways, by a monthly, weekly or daily view.

    Image Name You can set a name for the pictures that you take with the device which will help you to categorize the pictures that you store. If you leave the default name empty when you store a picture, the picture will be stored as 001.bmp/png (file extension name), or the next free number available.

The files stored in this chapter are linked to various application indexes for ease of use. If the files are deleted from this folder then the linked file in an application index will be deleted and vice- versa.

    MP3 Player Your mydevice has a MP3 player which allows you to play MP3’s stored in the device memory. The sales package contains a stereo headset so that the music can be played discreetly in public places. The player allows you to make playlist from the music files stored in the device so that custom per- sonal music albums can be made.
