HOW TO USE SOFT WATER Household Cleaning Use less soap, detergent and household cleaners. Hardness minerals in water interfere with soap’s cleaning ability. That’s why most leading brands of soap, shampoo, laundry detergent and household cleaners contain chemicals that aren’t necessary with soft water. You can significantly reduce the amount of these products that you use. - Page 5 Special care for plants and fish. Water your lawn, shrubs and outside plants from an outside hard water faucet, or turn off treatment from your DROP App. You may also prefer to water houseplants with hard water or water from a reverse osmosis system.
