Battery Removal Process Open the rear short handles, figure 3. These can be used for steering the unit on flat surfaces in confined spaces. Warning: Only use the battery charger supplied. After charging replace the battery in the bracket on the stair climber. Return the tracks to the upright position by holding the short handles and pushing the lower red locking bar down with your foot, figures 8 to 9 Warning: Ensure the red safety catch is engaged to lock the tracks in place.
Turn on the power with the switch located to the rear on the right-hand side of the battery, figure 10. The control panel of the stair climber will now display the battery capacity. A fully charged battery should provide 1½ hours of operation (equivalent to moving 30 times up and down the stairs of a 5 storey building).

Descending Wheel the stair climber to the stairs using the rear short handles, deploy the tracks as previously described, push onto the stair, lean the unit backwards and operate the down button.
