Taylor Toddler Rail
WARNING:

• Failure to follow these warnings and assembly instructions could result in serious injury or death.
• Read all instructions before assembling toddler rail. Keep instructions for future use.

• For toddler bed use, the minimum age shall be no less than 15 months, and the maximum weight shall not be
greater than 50 lb (22.7 kg).
• Infants can suffocate on soft bedding. Never add a pillow or comforter. Never place additional padding under an
infant.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.
Strangulation Hazard:
• Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string, cord or ribbon around a child's neck, such as
hood strings or pacifier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over crib or toddler bed, or attach strings to toys for any
reason.
• To help prevent strangulation, tighten all fasteners. A child can trap parts of the body or clothing on loose fasteners.
• DO NOT place crib or toddler bed near windows where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.
Fall Hazard:
• When child is able to pull to standing position, set mattress to lowest position and remove bumper pads, large toys
and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.
• When child is able to climb out or reaches the height of 35 inches (90 cm), the crib shall no longer be used and the
child should be placed in a youth or regular bed.
CAUTION: ANY MATTRESS USED IN THIS CRIB

MUST BE AT LEAST 27-1/4 INCHES (69 cm) BY 51-5/8
INCHES (131 cm) WITH A THICKNESS NOT EXCEEDING
6 INCHES (15 cm).
• Check this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges before and after assembly and
frequently during use. Securely tighten loose bolts and other fasteners. DO NOT use crib if any parts are missing,
damaged, or broken. Contact The Land of Nod® for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed. DO
NOT substitute parts.
• If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children's products.
• Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers because they can cause suffocation.
• Infants can suffocate in gaps between crib sides and a mattress that is too small.
• Periodically check to see that all bolts are securely tightened.
• To clean toddler rail: Wipe with clean soft cloth dampened with a mild cleanser and water. Rinse with clean water
using a soft cloth, and dry thoroughly.
• Follow warnings on all products in a toddler rail.
• When a vaporizer is in use, always aim vapor steam away from the toddler rail as well as away from other wood
furniture.

  • Page 2 Taylor Toddler Rail Assembly Instructions This page lists the contents included in the box. Please take time to identify the hardware as well as the individual components of the product. As you unpack and prepare for assembly, place the contents on a carpeted or padded area to protect them from damage.
  • Page 3 Taylor Toddler Rail Assembly Instructions With the assistance of another adult, remove mattress panel from corresponding support pins of crib assembly. From the top of mattress panel, remove bolt caps from each support pin with a large Allen wrench. At this point, remove each support pin from corresponding corners.
  • Page 4 Taylor Toddler Rail Assembly Instructions Remove side panel from assembly and set aside. Fit pre-attached dowels of toddler rail to corresponding holes of end panels as shown. Using a small Allen wrench, loosely attach 3 large bolts, 3 spring washers, 3 flat washers and 3 half-moon brackets to assembly as shown. Do not fully tighten bolts until further instructions.

Loosely attach toddler rail to each end rail with 1 small bolt, 1 spring washer and 1 flat washer, using a small Allen wrench. Determine the lowest height as shown. Re-insert each support pin into corresponding corner as shown. Make sure support pin is securely engaged with assembly.
  • Page 6 Taylor Toddler Rail Assembly Instructions NOTE: Make sure metal plate of mattress panel is at the bottom during assembly With the assistance of another adult, fit mattress panel into corresponding support pins of toddler bed assembly. From the top of mattress panel, attach bolt caps onto each support pin with a large Allen wrench.

    Taylor Toddler Rail Assembly Instructions CLEANING AND CARE: Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth.  Do not use abrasive cleaners.  Periodically check and tighten hardware as necessary.    Once the crib is in use, periodically check to make sure all bolts are tight, and tighten as necessary. Keep these instructions for future use.
