Quickstart Guide for Internet Controlled Thermostats

Unpack your new equipment
Your kit contains these items:

Caution
• Your thermostat is a precise instrument, handle it with care.
• Turn off electricity to the HVAC system before installing or
servicing thermostat or any part of the system.
•D o n ot tu r n e l e ct ri c i ty b ack o n u nt il w o r k is c om p l e t e d.
• Do not short (jumper) across electric terminals at the control
on the furnace or air conditioner to test the system. This may
damage the thermostat.
• All wiring must conform to local codes and ordinances.
• This thermostat is designed for use with 3AA alkaline batteries
and/or 24 volt AC C wire (or a 12-24 AC or DC source) and
millivolt gas systems. Each thermostat relay load should be
limited to 1.0 amp; higher amperage may cause damage to the
thermostat.
Caution
To avoid electrical shock and
to prevent damage to the furnace, air conditioner, and
disconnect the power supply
thermostat,
before
beginning work. This can be done at the circuit breaker.

Record identification numbers
Write down the serial number and the MAC address from the back of your ICT.
You don't need to record the numbers on your Gateway.

The green status light on top of the Gateway will come ON while it connects with CORIS servers. Once successful, the status light will go OFF. It will blink once in a while as it talks to the servers.
- Page 3 Once the ICT is installed and the power turned back on, status lights will blink red while the ICT connects with the Gateway. The lights will go OFF when successful. Press the mode button until OFF is displayed in the lower right-hand corner.
- Page 4 Click on Save. You'll see a new window with your Module's information. BuildingStaff Test your ICT On the Status page of your new ICT, set Mode to either Heating or Cooling. Type in a different Target Temperature than what is displayed on your thermostat.
