Zero and calibrate each channel from the control panel. In addition the Tocsin 700 control panel can be 'hooked up' to a PC or PALM device via its serial programming link to allow system configuration using Oliver IGD software. This allows not only pre- configuration of the panel prior to commissioning but also a record of how the system was set up.

OLIVER Accepting and Reseting Alarms For most of its operating life the Tocsin 700 control panel and associated sensors will monitor for whichever hazard it is configured for. The only requirement from the plant operator is to have the system regularly calibrated, typically every 3 or 6 months depending on the nature of the gas hazard.

OLIVER OLIVER 5.3 Set Alarm Level 1 Allows the user to set the first alarm level for this channel. Factory default is 20% of 1 O2 0 % VOL range. Again this uses the current alarm level and is adjusted using the rotation of SET ALARM LEVEL 1 the switch.

OLIVER OLIVER 6. Engineers Menu The engineers menu allows the user to access engineering functions. Item 1 Range Allows the engineer to change the range of the channel. This item has ten pre-set ranges, 1, 5, 10,25, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and 3000. These should cover 90% of the ranges required and are selected by using the rotation of the switch.

Note that for the addressable detectors once the addresses have been found n the loop by the Tocsin 700 you will then have to go through the channel set up on each address at the control panel to set Range,Units and Gas Type. At this time you can also add logical name tags to match the detectors.

9. Additional Analogue Output Cards The Tocsin 700 can be fitted with analogue output channels using add on output cards. The cards are each fitted with 4 channels per card and are driven from the main Tocsin 700 PCB via ribbon cables. Each channel can be either a voltage of current output.
