Troubleshooting Guide (SAFE
Problem
Control surfaces not at
neutral position when
transmitter controls are at
neutral
Aircraft fl ies inconsistently
from fl ight to fl ight
Controls oscillate in fl ight,
(Aircraft rapidly jumps or
moves)
Aircraft does not connect
to transmitter after battery
is connected
Troubleshooting Guide without GPS
Problem
Aircraft will
Throttle stick not lowered or and/or
not respond
throttle trim not centered
to throttle but
Throttle channel is reversed
responds to
other controls
Motor is disconnected from receiver
throttle cut active
Extra propeller
Damaged propeller, prop shaft or
noise or extra
motor
vibration
Reduced fl ight
Flight battery charge is low
time or aircraft
Propeller is installed backwards
underpowered
Flight battery is damaged
Flight conditions may be too cold
Battery capacity is too low for fl ight
conditions
®
) without GPS
Possible Cause
Control surfaces may not have been
mechanically centered from factory
Aircraft was moved after the fl ight
battery was connected and before
sensors initialized
SAFE may be active and plane is
not level
Trims are moved too far from
neutral position
Propeller is unbalanced, causing
excessive vibration
The three spinner screws are loose,
causing excessive vibration
The motor screw in the bottom of
the plane may be loose
Aircraft is not upright and immobile
after battery is connected
Aircraft was powered on before
transmitter and entered bind mode
Possible Cause
Center control surfaces mechanically by
adjusting the U-bends on control
linkages
Keep the Aircraft upright and immobile
for 5 seconds after connecting the
battery
Normal operation, review the SAFE
control direction test in this manual for
more details
Neutralize trims and mechanically adjust
linkages to center control surfaces
Remove propeller and rebalance or
replace it if damaged
Tighten spinner screws
Tighten motor screw
Keep the Aircraft upright and immobile for
5 seconds after connecting the battery
Power on the transmitter before the
aircraft, except when binding
Reset controls with throttle stick at lowest
setting and throttle trim centered
Reverse throttle channel on transmitter
Open fuselage and ensure the plug for the
motor is properly installed
deactivate throttle cut
Replace damaged parts
Completely recharge fl ight battery
Install propeller with numbers facing forward
Replace fl ight battery and follow fl ight battery
instructions
Make sure battery is warm before use
Replace battery or use a larger capacity
battery
