SHORT INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Multifunctional Clean Room Panel
Congratulations on your new CRP5 clean room panel. You
have bought a state-of-the-art device. Please read these short
instructions carefully before installing the device.
General Description
The CRP5 is a multifunctional panel for monitoring and control
of the most important parameters of a room. Apart from high-
precision measurement of differential pressure, it also offers
measurement of relative humidity, temperature and absolute
pressure. It also features a host of analog and digital inputs
75
and outputs. These short instructions are limited to a descrip-
tion of the main functions and installation of the device. The
detailed instruction manual can be found on the internet at:
www.rotronic.com.

Mechanical Installation
It is recommended that you use plastic screws or glue the device into the wall.
A
Caution
It must be ensured that no mechanical stress is exercised on the front safety glass
(risk of breakage).
Select an installation site where the humidity, temperature and pressure conditions are represen-

tative of the environment that is to be measured.
Differential Pressure Measurement
Tubes with an internal diameter of 4 mm (connections on back plate) or 6 mm (connections on
front panel) can be connected. The tubes must be fastened securely so that they do not move,
vibrate or fall off during operation.
Relative Humidity and Temperature Measurement
Relative humidity is extremely temperature-dependent. In order to measure it exactly, the probes
and sensors must be set exactly on the temperature level of the environments that are to be
measured. The installation site can therefore have a signifi cant infl uence on the performance
of the device.

Avoiding Sources of Error
Measured values can be compromised by the following infl uences:
Temperature Errors
By adaptation time too short, cold outside wall, heating elements, sunlight, etc.
Humidity Errors
By steam, water spray, dripping water or condensation at the sensor, etc. Repeatability and long
term stability are, however, not infl uenced by these factors even if the probe is exposed to high
humidity or saturation with steam (condensation) over a longer period of time.
Contamination
By dust in the air. The probe fi lter must be cleaned or replaced periodically.
Scaling / Firmware Update
The following settings can be made using the HW4 software and AC3006 service cable:
• device settings
• fi rmware update
• adjustment
A
Caution
The CRP5 may only be adjusted with the AC3006 service cable, Ethernet or MODBUS
RTU and an external power supply.
Periodic Calibration of the Probe / Panel
Both the differential pressure sensor and the corresponding electronics are very stable and do not
normally need to be changed or calibrated after factory calibration.
For maximum accuracy we recommend regular calibration of the device.
A
Caution
When carrying out calibration or adjustment work, make sure you do not touch either
the sensor or the compressed air tubes.
