QUATUOR DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY We Chopin Technologies, address as below, declare under our sole responsibility that the following Apparatus : Quatuor When installed and used in accordance with the instructions in the Product Manual, is in conformity with the following standards : 2004/108/CE the EEC directive “Electromagnetic compatibility“...
QUATUOR INTRODUCTION ■ Principle : ■ The function of the Quatuor is to provide the percentage of good grain, impurities and broken grain from a given sample. ■ The test cycle starts with a debearding (optional module), and the sample weighing (scale B1).
Page 10
❏ calculates the percentage of good grain, broken grain and impuri- ties + broken grain. ■ Overall characteristics: ❏ The QUATUOR has a memory able to contain 21 user-program- mable calibrations. ❏ A parallel output allows the connection of a printer with a Cen- tronics interface.

QUATUOR Composition The QUATUOR (1) is supplied with: ■ 1 pen for touch-screen (2), ■ 1 one-litre container (3), ■ 1 power cord (4), ■ a distribution screw (5), with an optional sieve (see installation page 53), ■ a brush (6), to be installed before the first use.
QUATUOR Installation 3.1 Generalities ■ Install the QUATUOR on a stable and horizontal surface. Maxi- mum tilt angle: 3°. ■ Avoid locations subjected to vibrations (machines, trains, trucks, etc.): this may cause wrong weight measurements. ■ Avoid placing the QUATUOR behind a window pane exposed to sunshine during several hours.

QUATUOR Comments This function allows, before starting a test, to enter a comment (by mean of a keyboard) which will be printed on the ticket. This comment will be valid for each test (delivery person, sample reference, variety delivered, etc.).
Operation and configuration Principle The aim of the QUATUOR is to determine the percentages of good grain and impurities of a given sample (1 to 1.2 litre). ■ The cycle starts as soon as the icon TEST of the touch screen is selected.

B2 and B3. They are then dropped into drawer compartments. ■ The QUATUOR proceeds with the calculation of percentages of impurities or good grain, according to parameters configuration, and print them out automatically if a printer is connected.
Note Any intervention requiring the removal of casings shall be carried out by an entitled Chopin Technologies. ■ Although the screw drive system is equipped with a torque limiter, it is recommended to keep the cover shut during operation.
