CSM-BC500 QUICK SETUP GUIDE
MONITOR SETUP
Open the battery compartment:

1. Install three "AAA" Batteries
2. Close cover and secure screw
Optional: connect an AC adaptor to
extend battery life.
SYNCHRONIZING ONE CORDLESS SENSOR OR A SECOND
CORDLESS SENSOR
Press and hold the black programming button located on the bottom of the monitor

for approximately three seconds. Both the yellow and green LEDs will then light for
15 seconds.

TEST THE ALARM:

1. When pressure is placed back on the pad, the green LED will blink two times and then continuously every three seconds indicating the pad is in use.
2. Remove pressure from the pad to activate the alarm. The red LED will then blink (for 10 seconds) and nurse call will alarm.
3. To cancel the alarm, press the monitor's RESET button and cancel the nurse call alarm at the patient station.
UNSYNCHRONIZING A CORDLESS SENSOR
Remove pressure from pad(s).

NOTE: If a pad is in use (pressure applied), it will remain synchronized and
monitoring the patient, even after attempting to unsynchronize.

TEST THE ALARM:

1. When pressure is placed back on the pad, the green LED will blink two times and then continuously every three seconds indicating the pad is in use.
2. Remove pressure from the pad to activate the alarm. The red LED will then blink (for 10 seconds) and nurse call will alarm.
3. To cancel the alarm, press the monitor's RESET button and cancel the nurse call alarm at the patient station.
Turn the CALL CORD switch to OFF before initially

inserting the nurse call plug or cable into the patient
station. If using with the call cord, switch to ON after
connected to the patient station and inserting the
call cord.
(MAKE SURE THE TRANSMITTER IS SETUP PRIOR TO SYNCHRONIZING)

Within 10 seconds of pressing the programming button, place pressure on the

sensor pad and then release. The yellow LED will blink once, confirming the
monitor and pad are now synchronized and ready for use.
Press and hold the PROGRAM button first, then press and hold the RESET

button at the same time, for two seconds. The yellow and green LEDs will
simultaneously flash three times indicating that the pad(s) has
been unsynchronized.
