Battery Charging - See Figure 2

Supplied with Lantern:
• Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery,
micro-USB charging cable.

recommends
recycling batteries. For more information
about battery recycling, please go to:
www.batteryrecycling.com
To charge battery pack, open USB door
and plug in micro USB cord; connect
other end of cable to USB power source
such as charger or computer.
Princeton Tec suggests using a charger
with output of 5V, 1A. This charger
will fully charge the battery pack in
3 to 4 hours. Slower charging will be
achieved with a charger rated for lower
amperage. Some computer USB ports
may not have sufficient output to
charge this or any USB rechargeable
product. Under normal usage, the
supplied lithium ion battery pack will
last for approximately 1,000 charge /
discharge cycles.
Green
battery charge level LEDs under
globe indicate battery state. Charge
level is indicated by 1, 2 or 3 LEDs,
representing roughly 33%, 66% and
100% charge states. If the charge
level LEDs begin flashing during
charging, please briefly disconnect the
micro USB cable, and then reconnect
to
restart
charging.
If
flashing
continues, move your lantern to a
cooler environment before continuing
charging.
Do not remove the screws holding
the lantern cabinet together. There
are no user serviceable parts inside
the lantern.

General Care and Warnings

• Properly charge the battery to
maximize
its
lifespan.
Lithium
ion batteries do not suffer from a
"memory effect, " and for battery
longevity it is
preferable to charge
more frequently if possible, rather
than to fully deplete the battery's
charge;
• To avoid damaging your lighting
system, use only chargers that meet
the approved specifications.
• Helix
Backcountry
Rechargeable,
battery pack and cable are not
submersible. Submerging in water
will damage the system and void the
warranty.
• To keep your lighting system looking
new, use a mild soap and water
solution with a rag or sponge to
periodically wipe off dirt.
