Important Safety Instructions
When using your Positioning Commode, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of injury to persons.
1. Read and understand all instructions.
2. Determine, with a physician or therapist, the suitability of this commode for the intended user.
3. Do not leave the user unattended unless you have determined that their ability and requirements are
such that it poses no safety risk to leave them unsupervised.
4. Place your commode only on a level surface, not near steps, water or other hazards.
5. Check that all locking knobs, bolts, buckles and other parts are tight at all times.
6. For any user who may experience sudden body movement (e.g., spastic motions), attach your
commode securely to the floor or wall with straps and screws to prevent tipping.
7. Make certain your commode is assembled with the anti-tilt feet on the front legs
8. Keep your commode clean and sanitary.
9. Do not use this equipment for purposes other than as a positioning commode.
Assembly of Positioning Commode
Step 1: Attach the rear legs
The two rear legs are shipped detached from the frame. Insert the strut on each leg into your commode
frame. Tighten the locking bolts on the frame.
Step 2: Attach the back support
Slide your back support onto the two upright posts at the rear of your commode. Tighten the plastic locking
knobs to secure the back support.
