    Each Digital Audio System has a different back panel configuration. When the receiver (home theater) is set to On, you can hear sound output from the TV’s Optical jack. When the TV is displaying a DTV(air) signal, the TV will send out 5.1 channel sound to the Home theater receiver. When the source is a digital component such as a DVD and is connected to the TV via HDMI, only 2 channel sound will be heard from the Home Theater receiver.

    When the TV is initially powered on, basic settings proceed automatically and subsequently. The Screen Saver is activated if there is no remote control key input for longer than 1 minute while Plug & Play is running. The Screen Saver is activated if there is no operating signal for longer than 15 minutes.

    Auto: Air and Cable antenna signals • STD, HRC and IRC identify various types of cable TV systems. Contact your local cable company to identify the type of cable system that exists in your particular area. At this point the signal source has been selected.

This feature lets you automatically adjust the volume of the desired channel by lowering the sound output when the modulation signal is high or by raising the sound output when the modulation signal is low.

    Game Mode is not available in regular TV mode or Game Mode set to Off. If the picture is poor when an external device is connected to the TV, check if Game Mode is On. If you display the TV menu in Game mode, the screen shakes slightly.

    When you set the timer On, the television will eventually turn off, if no controls are operated for 3 hours after the TV was turned on by the timer. This function is only available in timer On mode and prevents overheating, which may occur if a TV is on for too long time.
