3 and GND goes to pin 5. A simple serial to USB adapter is available from Eno Scientific or most computer stores to use with laptops without serial ports. The default serial configuration on the Well Watch is 19200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and no flow control. -

Watch display and press the <return> key on your computer. If it is set up correctly, the display will return with a line of data and a WS310> prompt on the screen. If the Well Watch display does not respond, select a different COM port and try again. -
