ELECTRIC may be used. Any other use or application of the products is
deemed to be improper.

Installation

DANGER
Cut off all phases of the power source externally before starting
the installation or wiring work, thus avoiding electric shock or
damages to the product.

CAUTION
b During transportation avoid any impact as the FX
precision instrument. Check the operation of the display mod-
ule after transportation.
b Do not drop the display module or do exert strong impacts,
doing so may cause damage.
b Do not disassemble or modify the display module. Doing so
may cause failure or malfunction. For repair, contact your local
Mitsibishi Electric distributor.
b Use the product in the environment within the general specifi-
cations described in the Hardware manual. Never use the prod-
uct in areas with dust, oily smoke, conductive dusts, corrosive
or flammable gas, vibrations or impacts, or expose it to high
temperature, condensation, or wind and rain.
If the product is used in such a place described above, electri-
cal shock, fire, malfunction, damage, or deterioration may be
caused
.
b Do not touch the conductive parts of the product directly.
b Fix the display module securely to the specified connector.
Incorrect connection may cause malfunction.
Applicable PLC
The display module FX -7DM can be combined with a PLC of the

MELSEC FX series only.

Installation Options
The display module FX -7DM can be incorporated in the base unit, or can

be installed in the enclosure using the FX -7DM-HLD display module

holder.

Connection to the FX3U Series PLC
Turn off the power.
Pushing the top cover hook (right
fig. "A"), remove the top cover
(right fig. "B"), as shown in the
right figure.

Install the FX -7DM (next fig. "C") to the installation place for the dis-

play module on the base unit (next fig. "D") as shown in the following
figure.
