Recording a video

Record videos of up to 20 minutes in length. The recorded video is saved as an H.264 (MPEG-4.AVC) file.
H.264 (MPEG-4 part10/AVC) is a high-compression video format established by international standard organizations ISO/IEC and ITU-T.
Some memory cards may not support high definition recording. In this case, set a lower resolution. (p. 52)
Memory cards with slow writing speed will not support high-resolution videos and high-speed videos. To record high-resolution or high-speed videos, use memory
cards with fast writing speed.
When the Optical Image Stabilization is activated, your video may be recorded with the OIS operation sound.
The zoom sound may be recorded if you use the zoom while recording a video.

Rotate the mode dial to v.
To record high-speed videos, set the frame rate to 1000 FPS,
480 FPS or 240 FPS. (p. 48)
The video frame size may appear smaller while you are recording
a video depending on video resolution and frame rate.
